DESIGN FOR PEOPLE:

The enterprising clients that represented Rashtriya Metal Industries had a very clear idea of what they wanted. Unlike their existing office that enjoyed the luxury of space with a history that makes it more compelling, the new head office in a modern premise was envisioned to relate to the future generation. While the requirements that took on the minimalistic lines of modernism had to stringently adhere to the Vastu principles, our design palette reflected the metals that constituted the business. The warm and muted colours and textures of the various materials was chosen to evoke a sense of calm in the backdrop of the work being executed.

POWER OF LIGHT:

The office received the blaze of the West, which as per Vastu had the cabins of the CEO’s and Managers located. While this was shielded with the necessary blinds in a neutral shade, the cabins were lit with a spectral combination that made working efficient and enhanced the various awards displayed.

THE INVIGORATING ENVIRONMENT:

The materials that Rashtriya Metal dealt with were great metals to incorporate in a design. The austerity of the stone wall and wooden furniture juxtaposed the resplendence of a metal like copper. Without being imposing, the theme of the business travelled functionally with the copper urn wash basins and sink, or the antique copper vessels and water heater that became ideal planters for the air purifying plants. Vastu attributes its fundamentals to the elements of nature, encouraging plants to be planned along the windowsills and other nooks. When taken further and balanced with a material palette inspired by the other elements of nature, an invigorating space that appeals to the soul takes shape.
