THE MOSAIC
ANDHERI EAST

DESIGN FOR PEOPLE:

The coworking space was briefed to have the congenial atmosphere of a Starbucks, where people worked in ease and conversations brewed over a cup of coffee. With that as our cue, we embarked on a design journey that responded equally to the professionals from varied work spheres, who came in to work together under one coworking roof. We decided to create a space that exuded the intimacy of a home by keeping our material and colour palette authentic.

POWER OF LIGHT:

The continuous band of windows that ran along the length of the site was a wonderful advantage to work with because nothing is as refreshing as the morning sunlight or can clear the mind better that looking out into the expanse. A co-worker who ran the Esha Yoga from the community room reserved a seat that he found ideal for this very purpose. He said he loved to sit and look over the buildings and at the hills beyond. But when the blinds went down to filter the sunlight, Mosaic was lit by various wall and ceiling lights that hung to demarcate and give each space an identity of its own.

THE INVIGORATING ENVIRONMENT:

While the unassuming design elements characterized the charm of a home, it was the plants that rejuvenated the senses and alleviated stresses. With the plants clustered to reduce the formaldehyde and benzene in the air, they were natural air purifiers and energizers to the varied professionals. We consciously worked at creating a space that not only looked good but would make people feel even better.
